The Film

Bad Ideas is a philosophical, metaphysical, music infused mystery thriller set in a world where ideas live and dreams die. High in style and originality, first time writer/director Ryan W. Martin weaves an often comedic and complex character study seeped in love, suicide, time, music, manipulation, and power. 

A New Time Is Upon Us

A Stranger has awoken in an unknown world, the Astral Field; the ultimate reality where past, present, and future, real and unreal exist at the same time. An evil bartender begins manipulating the Stranger into believing he knows a woman, Love, and must travel through the fields to find her.

Riding into the future to find the past, the Stranger is pushed and pulled by the hysterically suicidal voices in his head, a blind and bluesy bathroom attendant, a beached folk singer, an alchemist, and a mindless body; all wanting a piece of a mysterious and apocalyptic power that lies inside the Stranger.
